Sink your legs and raise your arms with Rhythmball, the exercise and exercise equipment sweeping fitness-conscious China, and shortlisted to be a demonstration sport at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Rhythmball combines:

  • the centuries-old circle and arc movements of Tai Chi
  • the competitive aspects of Lacrosse and Badminton
  • the social dynamic of Hacky Sack
  • more than a pinch of kinetics!
  • for a one-time cost of less than half a month's gym fees!
  • Rhythmball is fun enough to get you off the couch while providing a low-impact, "do-able" cardio workout. Developed by China's Olympic boxing coach to help the disabled improve their musculature, Rhythmball is open to all ages, ambulatory and non-ambulatory.

Keeping a sand-filled ball on a latex paddle while swinging your arms is exciting and challenging. Reaping the benefits of Chinese exercise makes Rhythmball all the more rewarding. Your workout possibilities are endless, whether you play alone or with a group, indoors or out.

    About Tai Chi Rhythmball

Tai Chi Rhythmball is an exercise variation of Tai Chi Chuan. It borrows the graceful movements from Tai Chi exercise that are so well known for promoting fitness, balance, strength and health. All you need is a little exercise equipment, video instruction and practice.

It's easy to learn, and great exercise for all ages. It's popular in China, as well as Germany, Austria, The Netherlands and Japan. It is a Tai Chi exercise that is especially helpful for those who are physically challenged, as it was developed with those in mind.

When performed, it looks very elegant and cool, and it never fails to attract on-lookers who are entranced by the exercise's grace, coordination and challenge. It will tone all your muscles. Instruction is provided in English in an easy to follow DVD (all platforms) or a VCD (PC only).
